Privacy Policy
MnemoMark is a Chrome extension that lets you highlight and tag web content. This policy explains how we handle your data.

Data We Collect: The extension stores your highlights (selected text), page URLs, tags, and notes locally in your browser. This data stays on your device unless you enable cloud sync. If you create an account and enable tag syncing, we collect your email address and sync your tags to Google Firebase. Passwords are handled by Firebase Authentication and we do not have access to them.
How We Use Your Data: We use your data only to provide highlighting and tagging features and to sync tags between the extension and desktop app if you enable syncing. We do not sell, share, or use your data for advertising.
Data Storage: All highlights and tags are stored locally in your browser by default. If you enable cloud sync, your tags are stored in Google Firebase Firestore. Your email is stored in Firebase Authentication for account management.
Third-Party Services: We use Google Firebase for optional authentication and cloud storage. Firebase's privacy policy applies: https://policies.google.com/privacy
Your Control: You can view, edit, or delete your highlights and tags at any time. You can disable cloud sync or delete your account at any time. Uninstalling the extension removes all locally stored data.
